Kurzes Intro

Reflection is the twenty-sixth studio album by English musician Brian Eno, released on 1 January 2017 on Warp Records. It is a single piece of ambient music produced by Eno that runs for 54 minutes in length on CD and vinyl. A generative version of the album is available as an app that plays infinitely and changes the music at different times of the day digital streaming versions of the album update on a seasonal basis. It was nominated for the 2017 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album. Brian Eno discusses Reflection. Reflection is the latest work in a long series. It started as far as record releases are concerned with Discreet Music in 1975 - or did it start with the first Fripp and Eno album in 1973 Or did it start with the first original piece of music I ever made, at Ipswich Art School in 1965 - recordings of a metal lampshade slowed down to half and quarter speed, all overlaid . When Brian Eno teamed with guitarist Robert Fripp planting the seeds that would lead to his epochal Ambient series, the duo played a concert in Paris in May of 1975 that eschewed their Roxy Music and King Crimson fame and was subsequently met with catcalls, whistles, walkouts and a near-riot. Forty years later, Enos ambient works have drifted from misunderstood bane to canonical works. Like those aforementioned albums, Reflection is a generative piece. Eno approaches it less like an capital-A Artist, exerting his will and ego on the music, and more like a scientist conducting an experiment. He establishes a set of rules, puts a few variables into motion and then logs the results. Brian Enos seasonal generative work comes full circle. An autumn iteration of Reflection is now available on the App Store free update for Empire's album of the week. Brian Eno. Brian Eno: Reflection review soothing, but sobering. 3, 5 stars 3 out of 5 stars. Kitty Empire. kittyempire666. The more you let it wash over you, the more it sucks you in to reveal internal structures. Here, the one track unfurls very gradually over 54 minutes and one second, its thrums and oscillations reverberating at a pace you might call glacial if the glaciers werent all melting in such a hurry. Listen free to Brian Eno Reflection Reflection I, Reflection II and more. 4 tracks 54:57. Reflection follows in the lineage of Brian Eno's long-running collection of ambient recordings that started with his 1973 collaboration with Robert Fripp, No Pussyfooting and 1975's Discreet Music. Consisting entirely of one long form composition, Reflection mirrors perfectly Brian Eno's idea that ambient music is a term to distinguish it from pieces of music that have fixed duration and rhythmically connected, locked together elements. Reflection is a much-needed cathar. For his 26th solo album, Brian Eno returns to the ambient sound he popularised with 1975s Discreet Music. As with 1985s Thursday Afternoon, Reflection consists of just a single track. This is generative music, where Eno programmed a set of sounds to repeat in infinite patterns. Theres an app version where Reflection plays forever-but here, bell tones prick and glimmer, soothing and unsettling in equal measure. Reflection Brian Eno. Band Name Brian Eno. On his 19th studio album, Brian Eno tackles that by chasing time at large. Reflection is his latest ambient experiment to shine the sophistication built into the genre. For Eno, ambient music is about creating the endless, about writing songs with an eternal coda. The 54-minute singular piece that is Reflection chases this, of course, in written conception, but also through its physical release. The album is available on CD, vinyl, and streaming platforms like most are. Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей
