I've been a fan of Thunders for 40 years and I never knew they did this in 12" coloured vinyls in pink and yellow and blue.. Your kidding me that is Henry Paul on the cover? You know I was just thinking. Why did they use such a lousy photo of Johnny with his back to the camera. He looks like a hippy. That did nothing to help encourage the kids to buy that record.Punk was still the thing in 1978. Johnny was so photogenic. He had a such a great look. He was coolest looking rocknroller ever. The Al Pacino of R&R and they didn't use it to his advantage. Kids sometimes buy something if they like the cover. This photo is the worst they could have picked. I was a Johnny Thunders fan before I heard him play. I once saw a small black and white photo of him n a stepladder with his hands half way down his pants and I went looking for his records. But nobody had never heard of him. His records were deleted. This was before jungle records took him on. There was no records in the shops and no one had heard of him. Its like he didn't exists. Now everyone knows of him but I think he should have been successful. He was jinxed. You'd think that with having a photographer as the manager. Lee black Childers . Who worked for mainman and David Bowie. He did a great job on Bowie's Diamond Dogs. So why were the Heartbreakers picture covers so lousy? So Alone. That cover is one of my favourite covers of all time. Peter Gravell did a fantastic cover shot of Johnny for that one.
