This 7" single Ep Standard 45 contains the crazy avant proto-synth electronic element in last track "Calcutta", also heard in other Nardini strict Library tracks, like "Donald's Walk" or Eric Swan "Camel Patrol".
Totally Weird how as early as 1961 Nardini was so so up and ahead-minded being able to conjure up that granular early synth sound with fox trot song form in a total funny way, transforming a normal classic French hit of the golden days of radio into a new, fresh swinging beat !
All tracks here are still sounding so crispy and not demodè, the percussive and drumming parts are steady like a drum-machine, the male voices only comes up after music develops on, at the end in a pleasant singing to delineate the title track with total gusto, and trumpets with brass section is fat like butter on sparkling rays !
No surprise, in every case, for conoisseuers worldwide, that early in the Sixties, Nardini was ready to cultivate his modern sense into making music, with the purpose of shaping tradition into meat for future enjoyment.
This particular single being definitly one strong historic proof about this Nardini approach: blending popular music values together with modern tonal creativity.

Despite these very old French 7 inches being very rare to grab in clean state, here mine NM old stock 7" does make total sound justice of Nardini music arrangments in my modern turntable and stereo: there's full quality production, wide tonal depth and the parts between cantato and playing orchestra are wonderfully balanced.
