Well it's so hard to face That in this day and age Somebody's race can trigger somebody's rage And somebody's preference Can drive some total stranger To make somebody somehow feel the wrath of their anger. Why were we put here What for We're unsure We sure weren't put here to hate Be racist, be sexist Be bigots, be sure We won't stand for your hate. Now why so cut and dry A simple concept missed Give tolerance a try This confusion still exists ignorant mongers No area's gray Couldn't be any wronger in this age and da. It's the Bosstones album most inspired by the British Two-Tone movement of the early '80s, when pop melodies and pleas for tolerance and equality were often as important as the grooves - and that's certainly the case here, as the band turns in probably their most substantive set of lyrics to date. Sample this album Artist Sample. Very good album by the Bosstones. Don't let the mainstream success of this album fool you. This is what got me listening to ska. Read more. The Impression That I Get was one of that year's most ubiquitous songs: an insistently catchy ska riff that blended self-effacing lyrics with a hard-hitting delivery. The song wasnt a fluke. In fact, the rest of Lets Face It is as good, if not better, than its breakout single. The Rascal King, Royal Oil, and Break So Easily are high-impact tunes. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones informally referred to as The Bosstones is an American ska punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1983. Since the band's inception, lead vocalist Dicky Barrett, bassist Joe Gittleman, tenor saxophonist Tim Johnny Vegas Burton and dancer Bosstone Ben Carr have remained constant members. The line-up also includes drummer Joe Sirois, saxophonist Leon Silva, guitarist Lawrence Katz and trombonist Chris Rhodes. They reached their commercial peak with their platinum-selling 1997 album Let's Face It and its hit single The Impression That I Get
